Ao Ashi is a manga series written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi. It has been serialized in the Shogakukan Weekly seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits since January 2015. Even more amazingly, the manga series has been adapted into an anime.
It largely tells the story of young soccer player Ashito Aoi and his journey and experiences at the Tokyo Esperion youth academy. In 2020, the manga won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category.

A spin-off manga series, also written and illustrated by Kobayashi, titled Aoashi Brotherfoot was serialized for five chapters in Weekly Big Comic Spirits from July 12 to August 23, 2021. All the chapters were collected in one tankōbon volume, released on August 31, 2021.

- Now that all players have shows their growth in this game ( including Togashi), I feel Ashito is going to show some individual skill against Barça defenders. The reason being that Garulla informed him before that he did fine in the 3 day training just because he had good backup ( Shiba). Since the manga started we have rarely seen Ashito shows some special individual skill. So I expect Ashito to probably dribble a defender or 2( probably exaggerating).
- the 2nd reason why I feel Ashito will show some individual skill is the absence of Tachibana in this game. I wish to see Ashito at least imitating one of Tachibana's moves ( Or probably do some free kick if his big bro taught him during the break).
- I expect we will see Garulla's (reaction/face) next chapter.
- I expect to see amazing reactions from Romeo. I wish to see his glasses getting broken
- there's a good chance Ashito will get an injury or cramp by the end of the game. The reason why the author showed reactions of his family and friends even before the game finished is probably there won't be time to show them after the game ends / their reactions wouldn't be as important after the game ends
