Tatsuki Fujimoto started the serialization of "Chainsaw Man" in December 2018. Chainsaw Man was released with about 97 chapters collected in over 11 volumes. Originally, the author confirmed that "part 2" would start around the second half of 2022.
It was recently announced that writer Fujimoto officially confirmed that Part 2 of "Chainsaw Man" will begin publication in Shonen Jump on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
Previously, this manga has started its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from December 3, 2018 - December 14, 2020 for part 1. After its completion, part 2 is finally confirmed to continue in Shonen Jump+ & MANGA Plus and is scheduled to be released on July 13, 2022.

The last chapter of Chainsaw Man began with the new transfer student saying that she felt sorry for her classmates before crying uncontrollably when the teacher left. One student offered her a simple task, but she refused, saying that her powers were meant to save people. Another student told her that she made others uncomfortable.
Later, the boy found her outside squashing ants. He urged her to smile instead of acting superior. She then revealed herself as the Devil of Death, with the intention of “saving” them through death. Before acting, she noticed a mysterious figure resembling a man with a chainsaw above the school.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 197 will likely focus on the Devil of Death confronting the figure of “Chainsaw Man,” whom he will initially mistake for the real thing. However, the truth about this impostor should soon become apparent.
